The friars of San Lorenzo and Old Mission Santa Ines celebrated July 4^th by participating in Solvang’s annual Fourth of July Parade.  Riding in the parade were Brs. Robert Barbato, Gerald Barron, Peter Banks, Lance Love and Christopher Iwancio.  They rode along with Shelia Benedict, administrator at Old Mission Santa Ines and Joanne Tegge, Vocation Office Manager.  This marked the second year that the friars and the staff of Old Mission Santa Ines participated in the parade. Following the parade, the friars enjoyed a cookout to honor the staff and volunteers of Old Mission Santa Ines. While finishing dinner guests enjoyed watching Solvang's annual fireworks display that takes place at the Old Mission.
